LIBRARY’S STUDY HALL brings students, reptiles together

(From The News-Herald Newspapers)

Libraries usually carry a great selection of books on all sorts of snakes, tortoises and other reptiles, but several slithering serpents came to the Taylor Community Library for real Wednesday evening for the library’s first Finals Study Hall event.

“We’ve had cuddly creatures here in the past, but this is the first time we’ve had reptiles,” said Takedra Lofton, community engagement outreach librarian.

The event started at 6 p.m., with the library staying open until 10 p.m. to allow students access to their facilities to cram for upcoming finals.
